Our “Music for Young Listeners” Concert

LOCATION: The Weidner 2420 Nicolet Dr, Green Bay, WI

While America’s journey into space began in 1961 and culminated with the Moon landing in 1969, Gustav Holst embarked on his own exploration of the cosmos decades earlier. Beginning in 1914, Holst composed The Planets, a seven-movement orchestral suite featuring Mars, Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, with each movement reflecting the planet’s unique astrological character.

For this performance, Holst’s iconic music will be accompanied by stunning visuals from NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center. Audience members can also explore astronomy displays presented in the foyer by the Neville Public Museum Astronomical Society.

For help with ticket orders, the Weidner Ticket Office (Weidner Lobby front entrance) is open Tuesday through Friday (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.) or by calling 920-465-2800. The orchestra doesn’t have access to the ticketing system. Advance ticket sales will close at 90 minutes before the start of the concert. Tickets will be available at the door.
